The milk bread roll diet may be the best known detox diet. It is frequently misunderstood as a diet but it only aims to clean out the intestines and thus benefits holistic health. The milk bread roll diet protects the intestines until they have regenerated themselves. At the same time chewing is trained so that it is possible to digest the whole foods provided later so that the intestines can clean and regenerate itself.
The most important thing is the eating method:
A bite from a firm spelt roll is chewed (30 to 40 times) until a soup of spit and breadcrumbs is created in the mouth.
Before this is swallowed a teaspoon of milk is added, properly mixed in the mouth and then swallowed. This trick enables the milk to be predigested in the mouth such that the small intestine does not have to undertake much of the digestion work. This also achieves a prompt feeling of saturation and guests are often full after half a roll and 125 ml of milk.
For an allergy to cow's milk, it goes without saying that there are such alternatives as sheep's milk, goat's milk or appropriate yoghurts.
For the frequently occurring lactose intolerance we use soya milk, chestnut milk, almond milk, coffee substitute or herb tea.
The guest should retain the same combination throughout the whole milk diet as the monotony is a principle of the therapy. This monotony and the mostly unspiced food re-sensitises the taste buds and does not over-excite the digestion glands. This means that later it is possible to eat less sugar, salt, spices, alcohol and other irritants.
This diet is served for breakfast and lunch. For dinner there is only herb tea - unless the doctor prescribes something different.
