Building a new hotel in the middle of a historical spa town between three beautiful Gründerzeit villas (Founding Epoch Architecture style) is a massive challenge. The attraction, romanticism and sensuality of the existing spa architecture in the Baltic Sea spa resort of Binz on Rügen Island was transformed for the new design hotel into a modern use of shape.

On entering the hotel building the guest is taken into soft and flowing room structures. The transition between closed, transparent and open spaces is flowing and a conscious decision was taken to separate old and new.
